5 Weeks

Wow! Time is really flying by!! 5 weeks already! Time to go to the doctor.

We decided to go to Swedish Medical Center in Seattle since it is a great hospital and it is covered on our insurance plan. We decided to go with Dr. Levine. He grew up in Boston! Go Red Sox!

UPPAbaby

Oh my goodness!!! Oh my goodness!! Look at this!

I have a feeling I will be saying a lot of that as the months go by! I am a huge dreamer and love looking at all there is out there on the market today.

I am currently in love with the UPPAbaby stroller system.

It would be perfect for walks around Seattle on lunch breaks, evenings or weekends. I love that the bassinet also has a stand that we can use for in the bedroom for the first few months!

Now, I see the price is a bit much but part of me can justify the cost! Lightweight, great quality, numerous uses and it grows with the family!! Sounds like a good investment.

I will be checking out Craigslist for deals on this stroller!!

40 Weeks = 40 Projects?

If I can make a baby in 40 weeks I can surely make a project a week to go along with it!!!

Here is my idea: for the past 2 years while waiting to become pregnant, I have been collecting ideas and images for when I was pregnant. Well, now I am! I will spend the next few nights narrowing them down to 40 simple projects I can do during my pregnancy so that by the end, I will have all the cute little projects done in time for Baby.

Each week I will post the project that is to be completed. Then on Sundays I will post a pic of the completed item! Pretty exciting, huh?

Feel free to email me any projects you have found!

Baby on Board

We decided to go get a "Baby on Board" sign on Friday night. I do a lot of driving on I-5 and thought this would be fun to have. We went to our first trip to Babies R Us and then to B&N for pregnancy books. We had a great night!

We're Pregnant!

It finally happened! We are having a baby!

It has been a longer road than we ever expected but now we are pregnant! We spent almost 2 years trying to conceive, both naturally and with IUI's.

It just so happened that this last month was a bit different than most. We had a late ovulation test result. We decided not to pay $700 for the IUI if there was a chance we missed our ovulation due to a faulty test. I took 100mg of Clomid during the early part of my cycle and the rest was natural.

I was 3 days late when I decided to take a test. It was 9pm at night and I remember catching a glimpse of a second pink line. It was faint, but it was there! I excitedly hid the test and figured out how to tell Travis! I decided to tell him that night.

It was a moment I had been waiting for since we married. To be able to tell him he would soon be a Dad was all I ever wanted! Our dreams have come true! Our life is complete.

Now it's time to start a new journey and we hope you'll come along!

Keep checking back for pics and updates as the weeks go by!

Thank you to all our family and friends for their love and support over the years. We wouldn't have made it without you!
